The thing I love about this time of year is giving , on the other hand it also wonderful to receive Beautiful plants like these above. The Gardenia arrived on Friday morning from an old friend I haven’t seen for over 5 years now. These are my favourite little flowers and the Flaming Katy I aways keep in the bathroom. Same time last year she sent me a Chinese Rose as seen in earlier posts. Which has gone on through most of the year . This time of year when you look outside the garden looks very tired and dull. But all is not lost all that dead looking stuff is all but food for the birds. Especially the seeds that are left on the plants and trees. I noticed a pair of Bull Finches making a meal of the seeds on the tree outside., and the old thistles which the Goldfinches just love. 🙂 So I’m happy knowing that quite a lot of my wild and untidy garden through the winter months, are plenty of good food for these little guys.
Hope you all getting ready for Christmas , all my cards are in the post phew!! So enjoy and have a lovely Week. 🙂

Hi Sheila, sorry, but better late than never. I haqve got over 200 emails in my inbox and am trying to get through them it would be easy to just wipe them all but I’m concerned I just might miss something, and lo and behold up pops this post. so i’ll have to keep ploughing through these emails. i’ve never had a lot of luck with indoor plants unless they’re on the indestructible list, I left my Kalanchoe and tradescantia outside too long and it got caught by the frost!
Yes the garden is looking a little sorry for itself right now, the nasturtiums are just a sodden heap, but as you say, the birds are finding all sorts of goodies among the debris, i’m off now or this comment is turning into a post :-))hugs to you and Wile-e
Thank you Arlene good to hear from you, just like to say thank you for the e card Wile-e 🙂 woof it. I just love receiving house plants this time of year, also keeps me on my toes looking after them. 200 emails wow you have got a lot of catching up to do. Have a great day Hugs from the two of us. xx:)
Hi Sheila, I just tried going to your site and it said it was closed? I found one of your older post and tried it, and it worked…. have no idea why or what is going on…… thanks,
Ed
Hi Ed thanks maybe I should post something very soon. Probably has nothing to do with it though, not sure. Thanks for popping over.
Sheila
Just dropping in once again here Sheila, and wishing you a Happy New Year… hope all is well in your part of the world, and the High winds we experienced didnt do too much damage down south where you are.. We had some very High Gusts, but not as bad as some parts.. though it rattled the windows just a bit LOL..
Hope you and family had a great Christmas and that Wile-e is doing fine… Love to you my friend xx ~Dreamwalker xxx
