As I was reading my friends poem on the life of a beautiful butterfly, it was the very thing I was thinking about only a few hours ago. I noticed the Buddleia coming into life . These are well-known as a butterfly bush.  When I first moved here 10 years ago , it didn’t show till end August early September. The bush was a wash with peacock butterflies  and other  butterflies as well as the common admiral . As the years went by it showed earlier and now July. How times have changed and I don’t know why. There never seems to be as many either as there was over the past years.

Just starting

Here are some other flowers leading up to the pathway to the front door. Thanks Pen I hope we do see more this year it would be a shame if they didn’t show I know we would miss them. Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks take care 🙂

  3. It is a mystery why some flowers bloom later. But, I know little about growing flowers. Yours sure are pretty.

Just pleased you enjoyed the poem Sheila, and I’ve noticed a drop in the Butterfly population, .. I don’t know if it’s pesticides killing off the caterpillars or some other reason, but I do feel as you , it’d be a terrible loss not to have them fluttering about like ‘colourful and uplifting joy on wing’. .. I do hope you see some flutter-bys ’round your Buddleia soon, and have a wonderful friend.. hugs to you and Wile-e… xPenx
